Bio

Mervi Leppäkorpi has a PhD in Social Sciences at the University of Eastern Finland. She defended her thesis about the encounters between irregularized migrants and Northern European civil societies in February 2022. In Mobile Futures Leppäkorpi has a position as postdoctoral researcher in WP2, where she focuses on narratives of trust and mistrust in Aliens Act. Her field of expertise include migrant irregularity, borders, civil society and critical migration research.
