Bio

Venla Koivuluhta holds a PhD in Arab and Islamic Studies from the University of Exeter, Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies. Her thesis explored women’s experiences of undocumentation in Egypt. In Mobile Futures she is working at the University of Oulu in WP5. She investigates trust in everyday encounters with a focus on asylum seekers who have applied for asylum on the basis of religious conversion and their advisors.
