
Bio
Venla Koivuluhta graduated with master’s in sociocultural anthropology from Durham University (UK) in 2015 and Master of Research (MRes) from the University of Exeter (UK) in 2017. After graduation she worked as an asylum advisor at a reception centre. She is finishing her doctoral degree at the University of Exeter, and her PhD research explores the experiences of undocumentation among women in Cairo. In Mobile Futures she is working at the University of Oulu in WP5. She investigates trust in everyday encounters with a focus on asylum seekers who have applied for asylum on the basis of religious conversion and their advisors.
