Bio

Zeinab Karimi completed her Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Helsinki in 2020. Her fields of expertise are sociology of migration and family with a specific interest in intergenerational relationships and transmissions, as well as gender, citizenship and critical race studies. Currently, Karimi is working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Cultures, Study of Religions. Karimi will join the Department of Gender Studies at the University of Oulu to work on the Mobile Futures project as a postdoctoral researcher.
