Maahanmuuttovirasto (Migri) julkaisi helmikuussa 2023 uuden organisaatiostrategiansa seuraavalle neljälle vuodelle. Kyseisessä strategiassa Migri määrittelee arvoikseen luotettavuuden, avoimuuden ja rohkeuden, ja nostaa asiakaslähtöisyyden toimintansa keskiöön.

Julkisessa keskustelussa työperäisen maahanmuuton tarve nostetaan esille yhtenä ratkaisuna väestönrakenteen muutosten tuomiin haasteisiin. Suomalainen yhteiskunta on kuitenkin jo nyt moninainen. Vaikka työelämässä työskentelee eritaustaisia työntekijöitä, tutkimuksessa on todettu, että rakenteellinen syrjintä ja rasismi vaikuttavat maahanmuuttaja- tai vähemmistötaustaisten ihmisten mahdollisuuksiin työmarkkinoilla. Rakenteellinen syrjintä liittyy esimerkiksi rekrytoinnin esteisiin, ennakkoasenteisiin tai ammatillisen osaamisen ja koulutustaustan tunnistamisen ongelmiin. Luottamus…
