Bio

Eveliina Lyytinen earned her degree of D.Phil. in Human Geography at the University of Oxford in 2014. Lyytinen works at the Migration Institute of Finland as the Senior Research Fellow responsible for forced migration studies. In addition, she is the PI of the Kone Foundation-funded research-art project “Endings – Refuge, Time, and Space”. In Mobile Futures, Lyytinen is involved in WP5 on trust in everyday encounters. Her case study focuses on older people with a forced migration experience. Lyytinen’s expertise include urban refugees, deportation, mixed citizenship families, theories of space and trust, and research ethics. Lyytinen is one of the coordinators of the IMISCOE’s Standing Committee on Forced Migration and Refugees.
